ABOUT THE JOB:

The Vice President of Operations Excellence will lead the development and implementation of operational strategies to optimize the safe, efficient delivery and installation of our products at customer sites. Building on our strong foundation in branch operations, this role will focus on ensuring that our logistics and installation teams operate seamlessly across all regions, meeting both safety and service standards while delivering a superior customer experience. This role will work closely with branch operations to understand current workloads, develop optimization processes, and ensure that any change initiatives are effectively integrated with minimal disruption to local teams.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

Leadership & Strategy

  • Lead the vision and strategic plan for enhancing operational and logistics excellence across branch operations.
  • Develop and implement best practices for safe and efficient delivery, ensuring our logistics and installation teams meet all safety and operational standards.
  • Identify and address gaps in the delivery and installation processes to continuously improve operational efficiency and customer satisfaction.

 

Operational Excellence

  • Drive initiatives to optimize branch performance, streamline operations, and enhance service delivery standards in collaboration with branch managers and other key stakeholders.
  • Implement quality and safety standards in delivery and installation, developing metrics to track and improve team performance.
  • Conduct regular assessments of branch operations to understand local workloads and ensure resources are allocated effectively.

 

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Partner with corporate departments, including safety, human resources, and finance, to align operational goals with broader company initiatives.
  • Work closely with logistics and branch operations teams to implement process changes and optimize resource deployment.
  • Act as a liaison between branches and corporate functions to balance local impact with corporate objectives.

 

Change Management

  • Lead change initiatives across the company’s logistics and installation functions, ensuring smooth transitions and minimal disruption to branch operations.
  • Develop communication plans to effectively convey changes to both branch-level and corporate stakeholders.
  • Monitor the impact of change initiatives, adjusting strategies as needed to maintain operational balance and effectiveness.

 

Resource Optimization

  • Oversee the allocation and deployment of installation and logistics resources, ensuring they are used efficiently and effectively to meet operational demands.
  • Collaborate with branch managers to anticipate workload shifts and allocate resources accordingly.
  • Analyze data on resource utilization and workload to continuously improve delivery and installation processes.

 

Logistics

  • Develop, and lead capacity and demand planning operations across the enterprise.
  • Improving in-house productivity through enhanced route planning and customer data management.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain enhanced routing optimization management. 

SKILLS, EXPERIENCE, + EDUCATION:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, operations, logistics, or a related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
  • 10+ years of experience in operations, logistics, or a related field, with a minimum of 5 years in a leadership role.
  • Proven track record of leading operational excellence initiatives, particularly in logistics and field operations.
  • Strong understanding of branch operations and a demonstrated ability to balance corporate and local needs.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills with the ability to manage change and drive cross-functional projects.
  • Strategic thinker with a deep understanding of logistics and operational optimization.
  • Highly skilled in change management with a focus on balancing corporate goals with branch impacts.
  • Strong analytical skills with experience in resource optimization and process improvement.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and leadership skills to influence and drive change across all levels of the organization.
