ABOUT THE JOB:

As a Business Development Representative (BDR) at WillScot, you will play a critical role in driving revenue growth by prospecting, generating leads, and closing orders for our range of products, including Complex Modular, Flex, Blast Resistant, Clearspan Structures, and other storage solutions products. Your primary focus will be on identifying new business opportunities, building relationships with potential customers, and converting leads into sales. You will work closely with the sales and marketing teams to meet and exceed sales targets.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:

  • Prospecting & Lead Generation:
    • Identify and research potential customers within assigned markets or regions.
    • Generate leads through cold calling, email campaigns, social media, and networking.
    • Manage prospect reports and lead follow up to ensure all opportunities are being pursued.
    • Qualify leads to ensure they align with WillScot's product offerings and business objectives.
  • Sales Development:
    • Engage with prospects to understand their needs and pain points.
    • Present and explain WillScot’s product solutions, including Complex Modular, Flex, Blast Resistant, Clearspan Structures, and other storage solutions.
    • Develop tailored sales proposals and negotiate terms to close deals.
    • Collaborate with the sales team to transition qualified leads into active customers.
    • Schedule and participate in Lunch & Learn sessions.
    • Contribute to value propositioning efforts to effectively communicate the value of our offerings to clients.
  • Customer Relationship Management:
    • Maintain and update the CRM system with accurate and detailed information on all leads and customer interactions.
    • Follow up with prospects to nurture relationships and move them through the sales funnel.
    • Provide excellent customer service to ensure customer satisfaction and repeat business.
  • Market & Product Knowledge:
    • Stay informed about industry trends, market conditions, and competitive products.
    • Continuously update knowledge of WillScot’s product offerings and their applications in various industries.
    • Attend training sessions and product demonstrations to enhance product knowledge.
    • Work with other sellers (Product Sales Managers and Account Managers) to support company meetings with clients and provide technical support to clients as needed.
  • Reporting & Analysis:
    • Track and report on key performance indicators (KPIs), including lead generation, conversion rates, and sales performance.
    • Provide regular feedback to the Sales Manager on market conditions, customer needs, and areas for improvement.
    • Participate in sales meetings and contribute to the development of sales strategies.

EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS:

 

  • Education:
    • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Sales, or a related field (preferred).
  • Experience:
    • Proven experience in inside sales, business development, or a related role.
    • Experience in the modular building industry or selling complex technical products is a plus. 
  • Skills:
    • Ability to thrive in a highly dynamic, entrepreneurial, time-sensitive, collaborative environment
    • Strong prospecting and lead generation skills.
    • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
    • Ability to build and maintain relationships with customers and prospects.
    • Proficiency with CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.
    • Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and able to work independently.
