ABOUT THE JOB:

The Accounting Data Analyst will assist in the development and management of functional reporting pertaining to accounts receivable, bad debt expense and write offs. This position works with various shareholders to analyze large data sets, identify key metrics, and maintains reporting to assist management in accounting and reporting related to accounts receivable.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:

  • Development and management of reports and metrics, including DSO, historical A/R resolutions, and bad debt reserve calculations
  • Utilize financial and operational data to provide insight, commentary and variance analysis as needed.
  • Identify trends and potential areas for improvement within the organization, collaborating with management to develop action plans and drive process improvements
  • Assist in the development of policies over accounting over A/R
  • Perform forward-thinking reporting and analysis to aid executive management in management around A/R
  • Utilize financial and operational data to create insightful and actionable reports, providing commentary and variance analysis as needed
  • Regularly perform ad-hoc analysis as needed.
  • Hybrid Schedule: 3 days onsite.

EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance or related 
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience with analysis over accounts receivable (DSO, bad debt reserves, etc.)
  • Familiarity with SAP and programs such as Tableau, Sigma, BI or Alteryx
  • Strong Excel skills, particularly working with large data sets
  • High degree of attention to detail and organization
  • Strong analytical and communication skills.
  • Collaborative and self-starter mentality
