ABOUT THE JOB:

The Design Manager – Fabric Structures participates in all aspects of the project life cycle.  This begins with space planning to solve the customer’s needs and includes floor plans,  3D renderings and detailed production drawings to support the creation of a bill of materials (BOM), cost estimates, and bid-packages. 

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:

  • Design fabric structure layouts and system configurations for site-specific applications using 3D models, assemblies, and detailed 2D drawings
  • Integration with modular or temporary structures
  • Develop Bills of Material (BOMs), hardware schedules, anchoring, and fabrication details.
  • Partner with Manufacturing and Supply Chain
  • Coordinate with external engineers, fabricators, and vendors as needed.

 

EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s Degree with 3 years’ experience in related construction / project management field OR Associates Degree with 7 years’ experience OR Technical Certification in 3d software, with 10 years’ experience
  • Plan drawings and 3-d model creation using Solid Works versions no more than 4 yrs old.
  • Prior experience with Fabric structures preferred.
  • Strong experience creating detailed fabrication-ready drawings and assemblies.
  • Working knowledge of structural systems, connections, and constructability of fabric structures.
