ABOUT THE JOB:

The Commercial Growth Manager is responsible for developing and executing data driven segmentation strategies that optimize sales coverage, improve revenue performance, and accelerate growth across the commercial organization. This role partners closely with Commercial Analytics, Commercial Leadership, Sales Operations, and cross functional teams to translate insights into actionable business recommendations and drive measurable commercial impact. The ideal candidate combines strong analytical skills with solid business acumen and the ability to influence decisions across a matrixed organization.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:

Segmentation & Market Analytics

  • Develop and maintain comprehensive customer and market segmentation models that identify high value segments, whitespace opportunities, and emerging growth areas.
  • Perform quantitative analysis to size market opportunities, evaluate industry dynamics, and prioritize segments based on potential revenue contribution.
  • Assess customer behavior, pipeline patterns, buying cycles, and product mix trends to guide commercial decision making.

 

Sales Coverage & Territory Optimization

  • Design and refine sales coverage models to align resources with opportunity potential, customer needs, and segment priorities.
  • Evaluate book of business distribution, sales capacity, and workload balance to ensure optimal territory assignments.
  • Recommend adjustments to sales structure, targeting, and workflows that improve productivity and win rates.

 

Growth Strategy & Execution

  • Translate analytical insights into actionable commercial strategies, including targeted plays, campaigns, and segment specific growth initiatives.
  • Partner with Sales Leadership to test, operationalize, and scale repeatable frameworks that drive pipeline expansion and revenue growth.
  • Identify barriers to commercial performance and propose data supported solutions to improve conversion, retention, and share of wallet.

 

Cross Functional Collaboration

  • Serve as a strategic partner to Commercial Analytics, Sales Operations, Product, and Marketing, ensuring data insights translate into clear business actions.
  • Work with Commercial Leadership to build alignment around segmentation strategies, coverage changes, and growth plays.
  • Communicate insights through compelling presentations, dashboards, and recommendations tailored to both technical and business audiences.

 

Performance Measurement & Reporting

  • Define and monitor KPIs that measure effectiveness of segmentation strategies, sales coverage models, and growth initiatives.
  • Conduct ongoing performance reviews to assess impact, identify optimization opportunities, and refine commercial approaches.
  • Build reporting frameworks and tools that enable leadership visibility into performance drivers and growth trends.

EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, Analytics, Finance, or related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
  • 4–7+ years of experience in commercial analytics, sales strategy, revenue operations, or similar growth oriented roles.
  • Strong analytical and modeling skills, with proficiency in Excel, SQL, BI tools (Power BI, Tableau), or statistical tools.
  • Ability to translate complex data into simple, actionable insights.
  • Strong communication, storytelling, and stakeholder influence skills.
  • Experience working in a matrixed commercial organization or partnering with sales teams strongly preferred.

 

Work Environment:

  • Corporate office (this is an in office role); travel up to 20%
