ABOUT THE JOB:
The Sr. Operations Systems Manager is responsible for driving operational improvements and efficiencies across the organization. This role acts as a key operations subject matter expert and focuses on driving key initiatives through process optimization, systems efficiencies, performance metrics, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality products or services. The ideal candidate will lead cross-functional teams, implement best practices, and create a culture of continuous improvement to achieve organizational goals.
WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:
Operational Improvement & Execution:
- Drive initiatives where inefficiencies in workflows and processes are identified and implement improvements to optimize productivity and cost savings.
- Identifies issues in process and products, utilizing Lean Six Sigma methodologies to eliminate waste and reduce variation.
- Establish and maintain operational standards and ensure adherence across departments.
- Develop and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure operational success.
- Analyze data to identify trends, areas of improvement, and opportunities for innovation.
- Lead and mentor a team of operations professionals to achieve excellence in service delivery.
- Promote a culture of accountability, innovation, and collaboration across the organization.
Process Design and Optimization:
- Design, document, and implement end-to-end operational processes in alignment with business goals.
- Utilize lean methodologies, Six Sigma tools, or similar frameworks to drive process excellence.
- Stakeholder Collaboration:
- Partner with cross-functional teams (e.g., Branch Ops, IT, Procurement, Finance, etc) to align operations strategies with overall business objectives.
- Serve as the point of contact for process-related inquiries and act as a change agent within the organization.
Change Management:
- Lead change management efforts related to operational improvements, ensuring successful adoption and sustainability.
- Train employees on new processes and tools to ensure seamless integration into existing workflows.
Compliance and Risk Management:
- Ensure all deliverables comply with regulatory requirements, quality standards, and Willscot safety guidelines.
- Develop strategies to mitigate risks associated with operational inefficiencies.
EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS:
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Operations Management, or a related field
- 5+ years of experience in operations management, process improvement, or a related role.
- Proven experience leading large-scale improvement initiatives.
Skills and Competencies:
- Strong knowledge of Lean, Six Sigma, or similar methodologies (certifications like Lean Six Sigma Green/Black Belt are a plus).
- Expertise in data analysis and the use of tools like Excel, Tableau, or Power BI.
- Strong understanding of ERP systems; preferably SAP and Salesforce
- Exceptional project management and organizational skills.
- Strong leadership and interpersonal communication skills to influence and inspire teams.
- Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with digital transformation and automation in operations.
- Knowledge of industry-specific tools and software for operations optimization.
