ABOUT THE JOB:

The Pricing Manager plays a critical role in driving commercial initiatives across the business. The individual is responsible for implementation of pricing strategy through the various levels of pricing activity enterprise wide, including creation and maintenance of core pricing data and metrics. The Pricing Manager supports the development of pricing systems, databases, and tools, along with the ongoing maintenance of those tools, to meet profit goals, comply with company policies, and adherence to customer agreements. This individual will be responsible for developing processes that drive consistency and continuous improvement in our pricing and quoting process, while interacting directly with various levels of field operations and commercial teams to ensure adherence to pricing principles and strategies.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with the Sr. Director to establish pricing analytics and develop new tools and capabilities.
  • Manage the pricing process and improve processes to maximize efficiencies and ensure prompt responsiveness to market conditions.
  • Leverage multiple systems and databases to provide actionable insights through reporting and analytics.
  • Lead and direct analysis to provide leading and lagging KPIs for pricing initiatives, compile reports/dashboards and distribute to stakeholders across the organization.
  • Develop recommendations and necessary analysis/reports to facilitate leadership decisions regarding new pricing strategies to enhance profitability.
  • Work closely with operations, product management, finance, and commercial teams to determine and set prices.
  • Engage field and commercial leaders to establish actions for improvement in areas that show variance to pricing improvement expectations and co-create plans to drive pricing results.
  • Create and update price sheets for segments, regions, branches, and customers.
  • Provide input to framework for customer pricing contracts and MSAs, to support Commercial teams, including National Accounts, and ensure consistency across regions.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement in pricing/revenue management.
  • Collaborate within the broader Finance Organization to drive improved field reporting capabilities (FP&A, BI etc.).
  • Other duties as assigned.

 


Collaborative Focus

This is a team-based role and will assist in other aspects of finance as well as help drive our Company’s Strategies and promote our Mission, Vision and Values. WS has a highly collaborative culture and the successful candidate will work effectively with a broad group of executives, peers, and field leaders to perform the above responsibilities. Aside from the Senior Director of Pricing, key relationships with responsibilities that intersect the finance functions include:

  • Divisional VP – responsible for the successful operations and strategic planning of the Division
  • Divisional Commercial Directors/ Regional Sales Managers  - responsible for all commercial aspects of the of the Division/Region
  • Regional Managers – responsible for the successful operations and implementing strategy of each region
  • Branch Managers – responsible for the successful operations of their location
  • Central FP&A/BI team – responsible for financial planning and analysis, all management financial and operating reporting, budgeting, and forecasting
