ABOUT THE JOB:
We are seeking an experienced eCommerce Senior Manager to drive vision, strategy, roadmap, development and rollout of eCommerce capabilities on WillScot.com. This role involves a combination of strategic thinking, user experience design, digital product design, technology implementation, and driving digital adoption with existing and new customers. The Sr. Manager will collaborate with various departments, including IT, commercial sales, marketing, customer service, accounting, finance, product, and operations to ensure our digital vision and solutions align with overall business goals.
WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:
- eCommerce Strategy and Adoption: Drive the vision, strategy, roadmap, development, and adoption of eCommerce capabilities on WillScot.com. This involves creating data-driven strategies to increase traffic, engagement and conversion
- Performance Monitoring and Reporting: Develop and manage dashboards to monitor and report on portal usage and adoption, providing insights to stakeholders.
- User Experience (UX) and Insights: Utilize tools to understand user behavior, refine the user experience, and make data-backed recommendations for improving engagement.
- Competitor and Market Analysis: Perform in-depth competitive analysis using data to benchmark performance, identify gaps in the market, and leverage opportunities to outperform competitors in the eCommerce capabilities and digital self-service tools provided to customers by others in the industry.
- User Behavior Insights: Utilize tools like heatmaps, session recordings, and user behavior analytics (e.g., Hotjar, Crazy Egg) to gain insights into user interactions on-site, refine user experience, and make data-backed recommendations for improving WSC adoption.
- Develop Commerce Capabilities: Lead the design, development and launch ability for customers to place orders on Customer Portal
- A/B Testing and Experimentation: Implement A/B tests and multivariate experiments to drive customer order journey improvements. Use statistical data to measure the effectiveness of these experiments and refine strategies accordingly.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Lead cross-functional teams including junior team members, and work closely with developers, designers, and content creators. Collaborate with IT, sales, marketing, product, and business units to understand business needs and prioritize digital efforts
- People Leadership: Provide inclusive leadership, guidance, and direction to your teams. Build and maintain a high-performance team and culture through open and clear communications, ongoing mentoring and development, and effective performance management.
- Executive Reporting and Presentations: Regularly present performance insights, KPIs, and growth opportunities to executive leadership, providing actionable recommendations for continued improvement.
- Innovation and Trend Analysis: Stay ahead of B2B eCommerce and customer self-service platform industry trends and emerging technologies (e.g., GenAI, voice search, IOT), adapting strategies to maintain a competitive edge.
- Budget and Resource Management: Oversee the budget, including tool subscriptions, outsourced services, and team resources, ensuring cost-effective strategies and maximum ROI.
EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS:
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, business, finance, economics, data science or a related field. Advanced degree (MBA) preferred.
Experience:
- 8+ years of progressive experience developing and launching eCommerce sites, customer self-service digital tools and apps in other B2B & B2C organizations.
- Track-record of managing and working with in-house software development teams as well as a variety of software development vendors, and owning outcomes.
- Technical Skills:
- Experience with UX design software such as Figma, Sketch, XD and Adobe Creative Creative Cloud
- Experience using Contentful (or other similar CMS), Storybook (React Native UI), and Bynder (or other DAM)
- Experience in Salesforce CRM, SF Marketing Cloud automation platform and other salesforce suite of products
- Experience building native apps on React
- Analytical Skills:
- Strong analytical and quantitative skills, with the ability to interpret complex data. Data science mastery a plus
- Communication Skills:
- Excellent communication and presentation skills. This individual needs to clearly and concisely articulate our self-service portal strategy, progress and priorities.
- Negotiation Skills:
- Proven ability to negotiate and influence strategic decisions
- Leadership Abilities:
- Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to lead and motivate a team
- Ability to collaborate with key leaders in a variety of functions to drive organization alignment and commitment to digital platforms
- Adaptability:
- Ability to adapt to changing market conditions and business needs

- Results Oriented, self-starter with high energy who is able to balance multiple priorities and work with ambiguity
