ABOUT THE JOB:

The HR Coordinator is a critical support role within the HR team. The role has responsibilities from onboarding to offboarding and interacts with candidates, employees, managers and the HR team and reports to our Director of People. This is an opportunity to join a mid-size, growing, public organization, headquartered in Phoenix with employees in over 300 locations. Come join us and help us continue to build our HR team!

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:

Talent Acquisition

  • Opens job requisitions in conjunction with the HR Business Partner
  • Schedules interviews with candidates, HR team members and hiring managers
  • Coordinates process for the employee referral bonus program
  • Coordinates candidate travel

 

Candidate Pre-Boarding

  • Assists with the pre-boarding process for candidate
  • Coordinates background checks, physicals, drug testing and driver pre-employment process
  • Updates information in applicant tracking system
  • Monitors I-9 and E-verify completion
  • Communicates with HR, candidate and hiring manager on candidate preboarding process

 

Employee Onboarding / Offboarding

  • Conducts and supports new hire orientation calls
  • Assists with new hire surveys and resulting analytics
  • Coordinates outplacement enrollment as required
  • Provides materials to exiting employee

 

Employee Data and Systems

  • Creates hiring progress reports weekly
  • Participates in testing system changes
  • Creates ad hoc HR reports
  • Other administrative activities to support the team and various projects/initiatives as assigned

EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Psychology, Communications (or related Business degree) or commensurate years of work experience required
  • Minimum of two years of human resource experience (preferably recruiting function) within a fast paced, large, multi-location employer   
  • Experience with ATS and HR systems, prefer SAP / SuccessFactors
  • Strong Microsoft office skills
  • Experience with Teams and/or Zoom
  • Ability to effectively prioritize and manage time
  • Effective communication skills and ability to interact and coordinate activities with a number of internal HR team members as well as external candidates
  • Comfortable working in ambiguous situations; must be a self-starter
  • Problem solving and critical thinking skills
  • HR certification is a plus
  • Bi-lingual (English and Spanish) is a plus
